NDA 2021 Physical Standard Complete Information

NDA 2021 Physical Standard: Friends, to join Indian Defense Academy, candidates have to appear in an SSB interview in addition to the written test, physical fitness test, and medical test. Today through this article, we are sharing information about the standard criteria of a physical fitness test for NDA 2021. As per the criteria of the physical standard given below, candidates can prepare themselves and appear in the NDA examination.

To apply for NDA, candidates’ nationality must be one of the following:

1) Citizen of India or
2) be a citizen of Nepal
3) Be a citizen of Bhutan
4) A Tibetan refugee who, before 1 January 1962, came to India with the intention of permanently settling in India. or
5) A person who is originally a citizen of India but living in India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries like Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, etc. with the intention of staying permanently in India. Such candidates are also considered for NDA.

Candidates belonging to the above category, two, 3, 4, and 5 must have a certificate issued by the Government of India.

However, a certificate of eligibility will not be required in the case of candidates who are citizens of the Gorkha community of Nepal.

 

NDA 2021 Physical Standard: Age limit

For NDA 2, candidates must have been born before January 2, 2003, and not later than January 1, 2006.
For NDA 1, candidates must be born not earlier than 2 July 2002 and not later than 1 July 2005.
The commission will accept the date of birth as recorded in class 10 or 12 certificates.
The candidates are required to produce these certificates after the declaration of the result of the written examination.

NDA Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications prescribed for admission to various academies are given below:

Army Wing of NDAPassed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board
Air Force and Navy Wings in NDA and 10 + 2 Cadet Entry Scheme in INAAir Force and Navy Wings in NDA and 10 + 2 Cadet Entry Scheme in INA – Passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics or equivalent examination
  • Candidates appearing in the 12th standard or equivalent examination can apply.
  • Candidates appearing in the Class 11 examination are not eligible.

NDA 2021 Physical Standard: Marital Status

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for the exam. Candidates should not marry until they complete their training. Candidates who get married during training will be discharged and all expenses incurred on them by the government will have to be refunded.

Candidates should be physically fit as per the physical standards for the NDA examination.

 

Height and weight for the army and air force

The prescribed minimum height is 157 cm (for the Air Force it is 162.5 cm). Some exceptions apply to candidates depending on the region to which they belong.

For candidates belonging to the Gorkhas and the hills of North-Eastern regions of India, Garhwal, and Kumaon, a minimum height of 5 cm shall be payable as compared to the figure indicated above. For the candidates belonging to Lakshadweep, a minimum height standard of 2 cm relaxation will be payable.

Candidates who want to become pilots. They are required to fulfill the following requirements – (NDA 2021 Physical Standard)

  • Leg length: minimum 99 centimeters and maximum 120 centimeters
  • Thigh Length: Maximum 64 Centimeters
  • Sitting height: Minimum 81.50 centimeters and maximum 96 centimeters

Visual standard

  • Distance vision (correction) of candidates should be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the bad eye.
  • Myopia should not exceed 2.5D
  • Hyper ametropia is not more than 3.5 D. Including squint is also not valid for NDA.
  • Air Force candidates should not wear spectacles. (NDA 2021 Physical Standard)

Candidates should not suffer from any of the following minor illnesses: –

  • Wax (ear)
  • Frozen nasal membrane
  • Hydrocell / phimosis
  • Overweight
  • Sized chest
  • Tonsillitis
  • Gynecomastia
  • Testicular venation

 

Tattoo Guidelines

  • The candidate should ensure that any permanent tattoo of the body should be present only in the anterior part of their body.
  • Under no circumstances by the UPSC, the tattoo is accepted at the wrist inside the elbow and the
  • back/back (dorsal) arm of the palm.
  • Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are also not acceptable.
  • If a candidate belongs to a tribe where there is the custom of tattooing, acceptance will be given in view of the traditions involved.

Spinal position {NDA 2021 Physical Standard}

Candidates should not have the following diseases:

  • Spine granulomatous disease
  • Do not suffer from diseases like arthritis/spondylosis (rheumatoid arthritis and associated disorders /
  • ankylosing spondylitis/osteoarthrosis, spondylosis).
  • Spondylolisthesis / Spondylolysis.
  • Compressive fracture of vertebrae.
  • Sc Herman’s disease (juvenile disease)
  • X-ray examination (NDA 2021 Physical Standard)
  • Any one of the following situations will disqualify the armed forces:

The granulomatous disease of the spine.

  • Arthritis / Spondylosis
  • Scoliosis measured by Cobb’s method (10 degrees for Army and Navy) is greater than 15 degrees.
  • More than mild kyphosis/lordosis
  • Spondylolisthesis / Spondylosis / Spondylolysis
  • Herniated nucleus pulse.
  • Compressive fracture of vertebrae.
  • Thrombosis
  • There is no neurological or circulatory deficiency in the cervical ribs.
  • Presence of Schmorl nodes at multiple levels
  • Atlanto-occipital and Atlanto-axial anomalies.
  • Incomplete solstice unilateral or bilateral
  • Spina bifida other than SV1 and LV5 is not completely saccharified.
  • Any other abnormality, if considered by a specialist, will not qualify.
