About Delhi University
Delhi University established as a public higher education institution. DU University, informally known as Delhi University (DU), is located in New Delhi, India. It was established in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly as a collegiate university. At its inception, consisting of 750 students, the University of Delhi has since become India’s largest institution of higher learning and the largest in the world. The university currently has 16 faculty and 86 departments that distributed on its North and South campuses. It has 77 affiliated colleges and five other institutions. The Vice President of India serves as the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
